Suddenly Single. That's where I found myself in January 2009.

My entire adult life I had spent with one guy... and now... here I am. Suddenly Single. Healing from a 15 year relationship that ended in divorce. Full-time single mom. Balancing my career, my social life, my responsibilities and my sanity. The last time I had gone on a date was to my Junior Prom. Today, I'm asked out via Facebook, Google Chat, Twitter, emails, and texts. (There is the occasional phone call - but it is surprisingly rare.)

But now, the stakes are higher. I'm older. I'm smarter. I've been hurt. I've repaired. I know who I am and I know what I want. There's a lot more to lose and there's a lot more to gain. I've spent a good portion of my life being less than happy. And I have zero tolerance for mediocrity.

I'm not looking for anyone to complete me. I'm happy being me. I'm a mom. An entrepreneur. A sister. A friend. A life coach. A grown up.

I loved being married and I still believe in love. I know what went wrong with my first marriage and I know what will go right for me now.

And The Men.

My girlfriends and I get together and talk about The Men. The Men that ask us out and take us out. We talk about what The Men did right and what The Men did wrong. We talk about what we did wrong, the embarrassing things we wish we never said (or did). And now, I'm going to share these stories with you.
